Senior Mortgage Advisor

I started my career with Mortgage Matters in August 2002 coming from a previous career in the leisure industry. I did not have any previous experience in the mortgage market, although I did have experience in sales.

The rest of 2002 I spent in training, taking exams and learning from experienced advisors in the company. Once I completed the relevant qualifications, I started selling mortgages in early 2003.

From Trainee Mortgage Advisor in 2002, I was promoted to Registered Mortgage Advisor in February 2003 and started to build up my business. I was promoted again in May 2005 to Demonstrator Mortgage Advisor and was given the authority to demonstrate and observe new advisors and complete their appointments. In July 2006 I was promoted to Senior Mortgage Advisor. My goal for the next year is to work towards a promotion to Mortgage Partner.

During the year there are competitions and incentives which gives us the opportunity to win, subject to performance. I have been on a weekend in Paris, a yachting trip to the Isle of Wight and a weekend in Dublin, amongst others. This is not taking into account the legendary Christmas Party and the ‘Mid Year-Summer Bash’.
