Ellenor Shining Lights Hospice
Ellenor Shining Lights, part of the Ellenor Foundation, provides specialist hospice care for children and young adults in the comfort and security of their own home. With a team of clinical nurse specialists, doctors, respite carers, nursery nurses, together with the bereavement team they provide much needed counselling and support 24hrs a day, keeping families together at home, throughout the child's illness and beyond.
Every year the Ellenor Foundation helps well over 1500 people, and provides a range of much needed services in North-West Kent and the Bexley London Borough.
The Foundation also organises educational programmes and participates in the training of doctors and nurses in palliative care.
A previous donation has sponsored a nurse for 2 years for the children's Ellenor Shining Lights Hospice and this was further supported by a donation of 3 VW Beetle cars for use by the Foundation. We are pleased to announce that we will be supporting a 2nd nurse in 2007 to allow Ellenor Shining Lights Hospice to expand their operation.

Kent Kids Miles for Smiles
Kent Kids, Miles of Smiles was founded in March of 1993, with the sole aim of spreading some sunshine into the lives of sick and disabled children. It was a follow on from various involvements by certain members of the founding group. Holiday trips were organised for sick and disabled children, taking some 20 children per year on various holidays. It soon became apparent that there were many more children who so richly deserved this opportunity. Research has shown that there are in excess of 5000 children, just in the county of Kent , who would fall within the Charity's auspices.
The Charity at its inception had three main objectives forming part of the Trust Deed, which are:
- To generally assist in the well being, comfort and happiness of Kent 's sick and disabled children.
- To provide holidays, home and abroad for Kent 's sick and disabled children.
- To establish and run a Holiday Centre in the Kent area, for sick and disabled children.
- Objectives 1 and 2 relate to Kent children only, whereas objective 3 can also relate to children outside of Kent .
To date Ward & Partners have made a number of donations to this charity, which has been used for a number of projects including the creation of a much needed spa pool for therapeutic treatments and for fun and relaxation.

Demelza House
This is a children's hospice established over 5 years ago and is based near Sittingbourne , Kent . Demelza House provides short breaks and a range of services to the Kent , Sussex and South London area to provide support to families who have a child with a life limiting condition. This valuable charity benefits both the children and young people themselves together with their wider family, providing a much needed support.
Our donation to Demelza House has enabled them to build a play room and relaxation area for children and teenagers.
Macmillan Cancer Support
Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care.
We are proud to support the wonderful work of the Macmillan nurses and take part in their Annual Coffee Mornings in order to raise much needed funds for cancer relief. The picture shown was taken at our Faversham office during this year's event.
In addition we have made a number of donations and continue to sponsor other charities as part of our work in the community programme.
