Laura, Senior Lettings Consultant
There’s lots of training when you start out and it continues with refresher courses and meetings to make sure you don’t forget anything and to get new ideas from other people. The company always looks after us. We have dedicated training staff now, which has further improved the quality of training. The company supported me through my ARLA qualifications – a technical award for Lettings. I’m now training other members of staff in branch.
We don’t get given easy targets but if you work hard you will achieve them and the rewards are worth the effort. The commission is good and I feel that I earn a nice wage here. There are other ways that the company recognises success. I’ve won the Top Lettings and Outstanding Individual awards. You feel proud for being recognised as the best. I’m currently working towards becoming a branch manager.
Hard work and success are rewarded with promotions
The Arun Way (our ethos, named after our parent company Arun Estates) has changed many different aspects of our business. I will absolutely do everything I can to help anyone move in, even if it means completing a sign-up after hours. A couple coming from Holland got delayed and wouldn’t have had anywhere to stay because they had a dog. I found a way to get them signed up and they moved in that night.
The drive to 'out-passion' that comes from The Arun Way has helped us support each other more as a team. The company looks after us and acts as well as listens to feedback. We also do charity events during the year. It's great when everyone gets involved – I can call round my landlords and they join in.
