My experience is of a lovely neighbourhood, respecting privacy but friendly and welcoming. Watching and hearing a wide variety of birds in the garden is a real joy, the dawn chorus in Spring very rich! Blue tits usually nest over the front porch, deer hang out in the field opposite and foxes and bats seen at dusk nearby. The half hour walk to the station in Summer time is mainly along the usually quiet lane and a wonderful start to a day's commute! Great places to walk and enjoy outdoor activities combine with a genuinely friendly station making those London journeys get off to a good start.
