Ashford International provides regular services to St Pancras just 40 minutes away, while trains to London Victoria and Charing Cross depart every 30 minutes. Canterbury is also within easy reach by rail, with journey times of 20 minutes or less. Hop in the car, and the M20 takes you south towards Folkestone and the coast.

A short history of Ashford

Ashford grew up around the River Great Stroud from the 9th century and rose to prominence as a market town in the Middle Ages. Its proximity to London made Ashford a vital transport hub from the Victorian era onwards. The town continued to flourish during the 20th century, particularly after the opening of the Channel Tunnel, and today it has a population of around 130,000, with famous residents including comedian Vic Reeves and TV presenter Paul O’Grady.
