Whether through running, cycling, swimming, skydives, cake sales, washing cars or quiz nights, our staff have raised £750,000 in donations and fundraising for charities.
Aside from contributing directly to our charitable partners, Wards have incredible incentives to help our team raise vital funds for charities close to their hearts. Whether that means paying entry fees to take part in events or internal support to promote their fundraising, we believe it’s important to help our staff in whatever way we can.
Wards are partnered with Kent Community Foundation and, last year, donated over £300,000 to support individual families and local children’s charities through applications for specific financial support across the Southeast.
Each year, Wards Children’s Awards celebrate Kent’s bravest, most inspirational young people and families who have triumphed in the face of adversity and those who have supported them along the way.
This year, Wards have selected Tree of Hope as our charity partner.
Tree of Hope children’s charity helps children and young people with a disability or illness by supporting their families to raise the funds that they need to pay for specialist care that is not freely available through the UK healthcare system.
Every year we celebrate some of Kent's most inspirational young people, families, and charities in an afternoon filled with magic, awards, and a great meal.
For 20 years, we've been celebrating the achievements of young people suffering from illness, life-limiting conditions and young carers, as well as some great charities that have supported so many across the Southeast.
In the winter of 2022, we gave £100 to Barnardo's Children's charity every time we valued a property, and we reached an incredible £1 million in donations! Over the past year, Barnardo's has been spending the donation to support vulnerable people across our area. View the £250k report here and the £500k report here.
